On the first day at KLASS, we kick off by introducing and examining the equipment. We go through drop-off and pick-up procedures and discuss our approach to inclement weather with parents. Then, we dive into the basics of skateboarding, covering pushing, standing, and navigating down banked ramps. Additionally, we introduce three beginner tricks
During the second day, we recap what was learned in the previous class, placing more emphasis on independently navigating down ramps. By the end of this session, nearly everyone should feel comfortable cruising down ramps solo. Those who grasp the concepts quicker might even attempt taller or steeper ramps with guidance. Furthermore, we expand our repertoire with a few more tricks.
Moving on to the third day, after a quick review, students embark on learning to drop in on quarter pipes. This step can be challenging; while some may take to it naturally, others may approach it with more caution. Nonetheless, with commitment and practice, many will achieve success by the end of the fourth day. Day 3 also offers more free time for students to practice, socialize, and explore the park with their newfound skills.
We start the day with a brief review before diving into further practice with dropping in from quarter pipes, providing ongoing instruction and support. While not practicing dropping in, students have the opportunity to refine any skills they've learned and seek assistance where needed. Our goal by the end of KLASS is to ensure everyone has a solid foundation to pursue skateboarding in any capacity they desire.
We review, have fun, focus on our best skills & tricks to demonstrate at the end of camp.

I wore a 13 shoe by age 13. Kids feet grow quickly. I recommend starting on an 8.0 width for 5-7 year olds. 7-13 Years old becomes more case by case. If you kid is 10 with smaller feet. Maybe an 8.0 is perfect. But if you child is 10 and his dads feet are a 13. I would go 8.5.
My personal recommendation is 8.0 minimum width for all students. The wider base, especially with the little guys, helps students to succeed on ramps quickly. If you are taller you may want to start your kid out wider to have them grow into the board not out of it.
CHICAGO'S NUMBER 1 SKATE CAMP!
The girls learned tricks and made a routine.
Soren with a bit of coaching and spotting was able to get the rock fakie mastered mid class. Great Job. You are going to get a lot out of this program!
Sometimes it takes a few weeks. This champion did not give up! Great Job Eleanora!
